Moe-miji drawing

I'm not usually much for canine characters, but I've gotta give ZUN some credit here. By creating Momiji, he had ushered in an era of cute and fluffyness. And I do feel that the world is a better place.

Momiji stands out to me for a few reasons. First, she never actually got an official portrait, which does rank her with a few other characters (Including an awful lot of obscure PC-98 characters that no one even remembers.)

Like I said, I'm not quite interested in dogs, and I've always had a disliking for them. That's odd, because I actually do like wolves quite a bit. Then again, a wolf's never come into my room and chewed up my toys. The thing about Momiji is just that she's so cute, though! This is my first time drawing her, and I do think I did a decent enough job. I had always imagined her to be a bit of a character who tries to act tough, but no one can take seriously. She's so cute and fluffy! I kinda want to try Mountain of Faith right now just for her sake!

So, she's a wolf tengu with very good vision, being able to see from very far away. Putting her in glasses would be a nice bit of irony, then? Uuuu~

Ah, it'll be fun to draw her all flustered some more...
